This policy applies to ShopMedRx and the services offered through it. Protected health information created or received by the licensed clinicians and professional entities who treat you is handled under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and their Notice of Privacy Practices.

Clinical care delivered through this platform is provided by OpenLoop Health affiliated professional entities. Their HIPAA Notice of Privacy Practices describes your rights and how your health information may be used and disclosed.

Account and contact details (name, email, phone, shipping address); health information you submit through intake questionnaires, messages, and visits; payment information processed by our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers); and technical data such as device type, browser, and pages viewed.

To provide and coordinate your care, route your intake to a licensed clinician, transmit prescriptions to a dispensing pharmacy, process payments, provide customer support, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, and — with your consent — send service and marketing communications.

With your treating clinicians and their professional entities; with dispensing pharmacy partners as needed to fill your prescription; with service providers (hosting, payments, shipping, communications) bound by contract and, where applicable, business associate agreements; and when required by law or to protect health and safety.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share protected health information for third-party marketing without your written authorization.

Depending on where you live and the type of information involved, you may request access to, a copy of, correction of, or deletion of your information; request restrictions on certain uses and disclosures; request confidential communications; receive an accounting of disclosures; and withdraw marketing consent at any time. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit and access controls, to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We retain records for as long as needed to provide services and to meet medical record-retention and other legal requirements.

Our services are intended for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
